All Eyez In the Air

The greatest basketball player of all time is the one and only Michael Jordan. Mike as most people call him is probably the best athlete of this century. Winning 6 national championships, 6 MVP of the Finals awards, and 5 time Most Valuable Player in the NBA Jordan has left his mark on the game (http://www.23jordan.com/achievements.htm). During the 1990s the Chicago Bulls won 6 championships. Most people speculate that if Jordan had not retired for two years because of the death of his father, the bulls and Jordan would have had a combined 8 rings. Thus, Jordan and the Bulls were the dynasty of the 1990s.
Jordan's love for the game started when he was young. He would always play against his older brother to get better. When Jordan went to high school his freshman year he tried out for the varsity team. Unfortunately Jordan was cut from that team because his skills were not good enough. Most people would have quit in situations like this, but Jordan was never a quitter. Jordan practiced extra hard and the next year when he was a Sophomore, Jordan once again tried out for the varsity team and this time he made sure that he would make it. After High school Jordan went on to attend North Carolina University. As a tar heel he brought his university one national championship by hitting the game winning shot, which today to most sports analyst is known as " the Shot". After college he became the Chicago Bulls third overall draft pick and you already know what is the story after that.
Jordan is considered to be the single man that changed the game of basketball. Basketball was mostly dominated by big men such as Kareem Abdul Jabar and Larry Bird. Until Jordan there was no guard or small man that could take over a game and lead a team to victory. Jordan however, became that man and transformed the game from big to small. Thus, many athletes today like Kobe and Lebran admire Jordan and have taken own a similar role.
Michael Jordan is not only a basketball player, but he is a role model for all kids around the world. Jordan makes more money off his shoe sales then most people can make during their whole life. Jordan also is sponsored by Nike and Gatorade. Hanes, Jumbo Hot dogs, and Jordan Cologne are just other endorsements that this legend has mingled with. This multi millionaire has left his mark on the game of basketball. The best way to prove this fact is by considering that Jordan is in an elite class of players that actually have their statue out side their teams arena.
